Shuang-Zi Yang is a novelist, a researcher on popular literature and subculture in Taiwan. Her creative works include Yuri , popular and historical novels. Ro Tzu Yang is her original name and she is the older sister of the twins. She and her twin sister once used “Shuang-Zi” as their pseudonym. “Shuang-Zi” also conveys the meaning of twins in Japanese. Based on the study of the Japanese era in Taiwan, her younger sister picked the name in Kanji on purpose.
She had received creative incentives from “the National Culture and Arts Foundation” and “the Ministry of Culture”. Her master thesis was granted a scholarship from the Ministry of Education. “Blooming Island” and “Blooming Season” are her recent works and she is the co-author of the novel “Legends of the Gorgeous Island: Key”. Currently, she devotes herself to writing historical novels set in Taiwan during the Japanese rule.
